Star Wars has never wanted for great villains, and Asajj Ventress has earned an esteemed place among them. She stole the show during the 2D Star Wars: The Clone Wars microseries and went on to become one of the premiere figures during the Clone Wars era as a whole. She makes a particularly potent reflection of Sith culture and traditions and, more specifically, attempts to overthrow her master, Count Dooku, when she becomes sufficiently powerful. That -- and her association with the Nightsisters -- expands the scope of Star Wars in leaps and bounds, as well as providing a truly compelling antagonist in a franchise with a bumper crop of them.
