When it comes to Star Trek, there is perhaps no character more important than the captain. However, at least where Leonard Nimoy and Jonathan Frakes are concerned, the First Officers are equally important. Will Riker and Spock are beloved characters, but their actors' greatest contributions to the franchise is in their work behind the camera.
