Devolver Digital is bringing back its Public Access Holiday Special for the third year in a row “despite popular demand.”
The publisher announced the latest in its series of holiday-themed presentations on X (formerly Twitter), asking fans to prepare to see what it has to offer when it premieres tomorrow, December 21. It’s a broadcast that aims to offer sneak peeks at 2024 releases, but in typical Devolver Digital fashion, viewers can expect some weirder segments, too, like a section on cooking, a musical number, and “acting performances, for better or worse.” What more could you ask for?
Devolver Digital says its “very normal and completely sane holiday special” focuses on titles like Baby Steps, Pepper Grinder, and The Plucky Squire. All of these games and more can be seen in the Devolver Public Access Holiday Special trailer.

Devolver Digital has spent the last decade making a name for itself as one of the industry’s more out-of-pocket publishers. While delivering titles like OlliOlli, Broforce, Downwell, Hotline Miami, The Messenger, and much, much more through the years, the company has put on dazzlingly strange presentations. One of the more odd and recent showcases, Devolver Delayed, actually focused on delaying video games instead of following the trend of announcing their release dates.
Those who can’t wait to see what Devolver Digital is cooking up can head to its YouTube channel to sign up for notifications. Previous holiday specials were 30 minutes long, so we can probably expect this year's event to be around the same length.
