It's been almost 30 years since the movie Twister was released into the world, but here we are yet again with a sequel to that 1996 classic (now with Glen Powell). Although Twisters is still only available to watch in theaters, Walmart is already selling the collector's edition steelbook for anyone hoping to own the film in glorious 4K and Blu-ray. You can currently preorder your own copy of this steelbook for just $34.96 while Twisters continues its rampage through the box office this summer.
Twisters 4K Ultra HD Steelbook - Preorder
This steelbook is only available at Walmart as it is currently a Walmart exclusive product. It comes with 2 discs, including a 4K UHD version and a Blu-ray version. You also get a digital copy of the film via a code, so you'll have three different ways to watch your movie. We don't currently have a release date set for the steelbook or the standard copy of Twisters Blu-ray, but Walmart currently has the arrive by date set for July 1, 2025. This is likely to change once Universal sets a streaming and VOD date for the film.
If you haven't actually seen Twisters in theaters yet, the good news is that it's generally being really well received. One of IGN's more prominent film critics, Siddhant Adlakha, had the chance to see the film and gave it a solid 8 out of 10 score. Below we've included a brief snippet of his thoughts in our review:
Twisters Streaming Release Status
If you're hoping to just watch Twisters online rather than purchase the steelbook, we know that it will eventually be released on Peacock. This is thanks to Universal's current streaming deal. That being said, we do not currently know when the film will be coming to streaming. We also don't know when you'll be able to buy or rent a digital version of the film, however Amazon Prime Video already has a link available if you wish to preorder a copy there.
