While Disney broadly branded the supplemental Star Wars materials before the buyout as Legends, many elements of such stories could see a new light in the modern canon comics. Lucasfilm is no stranger to doing so on bigger scales, of course, with the most recent example being Disney+'s Ahsoka series taking cues from author Timothy Zahn's classic Heir to the Empire trilogy of novels.
