Transformers: Rise of the Beasts added two generations of Transformers onto the big screen together, with familiar Autobots from Generation 1 uniting with Maximals that hailed from Beast Wars: Transformers. Sadly, while not the worst entry in the live-action movie series, it was seen by many as a disappointment. Namely, it failed to both revive interest in the cinematic franchise and build it up into a true cinematic universe.
