The first images from the Borderlands movie adaptation starring Cate Blanchett, Jamie Lee Curtis, Kevin Hart, and more have been revealed.
Coming from People, one image shows the main cast of characters appearing in Borderlands, while another focuses just on Blanchett, who stars as the iconic Lilith from the Borderlands video games.
The first image shows the characters peering down a hole, including Jack Black's Claptrap, Hart's Roland, Blanchett's Lilith, Ariana Greenblatt's Tiny Tina, Florian Munteanu's Krieg, and Curtis's Dr. Patricia Tannis.

Clothing wise, all the characters look similar to how they look in the Borderlands series of games, down to Kreig's iconic Psycho mask, Tiny Tina's bunny ears hat, and Lilith's spiky hair. This comes despite director Eli Roth saying not everything will be an exact recreation of the source material.
"There are certain things that we kept very, very close," he told IGN in November 2023. "But I really worked with [Gearbox Software CEO] Randy Pitchford, and he goes: ‘Think of it like Marvel, where the comics are their own canon and the movies are their own canon, and you don't have to be married to it. The games are going to be the games and the movie's the movie, and if they continue it, great'."
More details and looks at the Borderlands film will likely emerge in the coming months as its August 9, 2024 premiere date draws closer, but Lionsgate has so far kept its cards close to its chest.
