Suits star Patrick J. Adams has apologized after sharing throwback photos during the actors' strike.

The actor had shared photos of himself with his former Suits co-stars, including Megan Markle, Sarah Rafferty, Gabriel Macht, Rick Hoffman, and more. However, he has since deleted the photos from Instagram and issued the following apology via his Instagram stories:

“The last couple of days I foolishly and thoughtlessly let a trip down Suits memory lane distract me from the very real and ongoing fight everyone in [SAG-AFTRA] continues to wage in its effort to win our membership realistic 21st Century compensation and protections.”

It was an embarrassing oversight for which I’m incredibly sorry.

The Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) has been on strike since July 14. Under the terms of the strike, members are not to undertake any promotional activity for struck shows, and it looks as though Suits counts. Whether or not reminiscing about good times on a show counts as promotion is another matter entirely, but Adams has already come under fire for his posts.

“It was an embarrassing oversight for which I’m incredibly sorry,” he added. “So grateful to those who gently and swiftly course corrected me here. And I look forward to continuing the fight in the days and weeks ahead.”

Suits debuted in 2011 and ran for nine seasons until 2019. Adams starred as Mike Ross, the college dropout turned unlicensed lawyer who passed the bar exam on a dare. Markle’s character Rachel Zane first appeared on the show as Mike’s friend, but their relationship eventually became romantic. The couple appeared on the show until Season 7 when they got married and moved to Seattle.

Adams’ Instagram posts included one behind-the-scenes photo with Markle and Rafferty, along with the caption: "I miss my friends." He also shared several Instagram carousels that featured photos from the show.

Despite ending several years ago, Suits has seen a bit of a resurgence, racking up 3.7 billion minutes worth of streaming across Netflix and Hulu.
