Spock’s troubled engagement to T'Pring faces a major crossroads when he and Christine Chapel endure an accident together while on a routine exploratory mission. The accident literally leaves Spock a changed man as the science officer faces T’Pring’s judgmental parents over dinner. And with his Vulcan physiology and sensibilities on the sidelines, Spock is able to ask himself the harder existential questions about his relationships and his own identity.
