Remnant: From the Ashes was released in 2019 and met with what could only be considered a mild success. The game sold a good number of units and developed a solid foundation of fans, but failed to reach that "next level" that many games strive to reach. Four years later, Remnant II has come ready to deliver. While there has been minimal advertising for the recent release, that has not prevented Remnant II from jumping over sixty spots on the Steam Charts Best Seller list. Being labeled as a "Dark Souls with guns" has generated a wildfire of word-of-mouth recommendations, resulting in wildly unprecedented but well-deserved success.
