For Amazon Prime Day 2024, several Apple iPad models have been discounted by up to 30% off. For most people, this is the iPad to get. The 10th gen iPad has significant improvements over its predecessor. To start out, the new iPad sports a thinner bezel, so it looks less chunky and can fit a larger display (10.9" vs 10.2") within the same footprint. It also has a faster A14 Bionic chip (vs the A13 on the 9th gen), which equates to a 20% increase in CPU performance and 10% increase in GPU performance. It is now compatible with the latest Apple Magic Folio keyboard, turning it into a mini laptop for better workflow (and one of the best iPads for students). Other welcome features include the transition to a universal USB Type-C port, a better camera, and an updated Wi-Fi 6 protocol. That's a lot of improvements for a mere $50 premium.
Apple iPad 9th Gen for $249
Simply put, if you want the iPad experience for the lowest possible price, then this is the best iPad model to get. It's $50 cheaper than the newer 10th generation model. Although the new iPad does feature several upgrades over this model, depending on your needs, they may not be worth the extra cost.
Apple iPad Mini 6th Gen for $379.99
The iPad Mini may be the most diminutive tablet of the bunch, but that doesn't mean it's gimped in any way. Although it was released back in 2021, the iPad Mini has a more powerful A15 Bionic processor than the 10th generation iPad. Despite the small form factor, the iPad Mini can still fit a spacious 8.3" Liquid Retina display with True Tone and Wide Color. It features a USB Type-C charging port and supports the Apple Pencil 2 for better workflow. If you're looking for the most pocketable iPad, this is your pick.

The Apple iPad Air was refreshed earlier this year. It now comes in two sizes - 11" and 13" - and boasts a more powerful M2 chip, the same one found in the previous generation iPad Pro. No matter what size you choose, you're getting a very nice display that's superior to the one found on the standard iPad since it supports both True Tone and P3 wide color. Interestingly enough, the Air is no longer the lightest and thinnest iPad... the new iPad Pro now claims that title.
(2024 Release) Apple iPad Pro 7th Gen 11" or 13" from $899
The new for 2024 iPad Pro is the first Apple device to be equipped with the M4 chip. It's substantially more powerful than previous generation models, but just as significant of an update is the display. Both 11" and 13" models are equipped with a tandem OLED display that looks absolutely stunning. This OLED display is incredibly bright, much brighter than the OLED technology used in today's TVs and monitors. The unfortunate side effect of these significant upgrades is a significant price hike. Fortunately, Prime Day is absolutely the best time to bring the price down to a more reasonable level.
