Amnesia: The Bunker released earlier this year on PC and consoles. In The Bunker, players take control of an amnesiac French soldier in the year 1916 and must navigate the dark, winding corridors of a World War I bunker. The setting itself isn't the only thing new for the Amnesia series. During its tutorial mission, players are given a revolver to defend themselves with. Gunplay is a massive addition to the series that indicates a ripple effect throughout the rest of the game. With its latest entry in the long-running series, Frictional Games has managed to shake up a gameplay trend that it helped solidify in the horror game genre.
