Warning: The below contains major spoilers for Ahsoka Episode 8, which is now streaming on Disney+.

The final episode of Ahsoka reveals more of Baylan Skoll's quest as he arrives at the statues of the Mortis Gods, leading fans to speculate over who represents the Father, the Daughter, and the Son.

Episode 8 of Ahsoka, "The Jedi, the Witch, and the Warlord", featured several callbacks to The Clone Wars and Rebels, including one particularly significant moment involving Baylan Skoll as his solo mission sees the Force-sensitive mercenary arrive at a set of giant stony statues depicting the Ones, a family of Force gods who dwell on the planet Mortis.

As seen in a pivotal story arc on Star Wars: The Clone Wars, these characters serve as living embodiments of the Force itself. The Son (Sam Witwer) is the Dark Side of the Force, the Daughter (Adrienne Wilkinson) is the Light Side of the Force, and the Father (Lloyd Sherr) represents the balance between the two sides.

Clearly, the planet Peridea has a fundamental connection to the Father, Son and Daughter. The statues in Ahsoka sparked speculation over which characters represent the gods, with most people suggesting Anakin Skywalker is the Father and Ahsoka Tano is the Daughter, leaving more of a question mark over the Son.

Star Wars veteran Sam Witwer voiced the Son throughout the Mortis arc in Season 3 of The Clone Wars, leading many to believe that Witwer could make his live-action debut as the character either on Ahsoka (following in the footsteps of Lars Mikkelsen) if the show gets greenlit for a second season or a future project.

Witwer has worked on numerous projects in the Star Wars franchise, notably starting out as the voice of Starkiller in the Star Wars: The Force Unleashed video game series. He also vocally performed Darth Maul in The Clone Wars and Rebels series, as well as Solo: A Star Wars Story, among several other roles.

While Witwer is a popular contender for the Son, others have suggested that Baylan could assume the role. The mysterious mercenery claimed early on that something on Peridea called out to him, and he then set about finding the planet's hidden source of power. It now seems like the statues were the ones calling him.

We left Baylan atop the Mortis God statues at the end of Ahsoka. This scene marked Ray Stevenson's final performance in the role after the actor tragically passed away earlier this year. The cast of Ahsoka joined fans in paying tribute to Stevenson after the episode, thanking him for bringing an "iconic character" to the screen.

The eighth and final episode of Ahsoka premiered on October 3. The series ended on an emotional note, with IGN's review calling it an "excellent conclusion" that managed to "complete satisfying arcs for all its characters while still setting up a big cliffhanger", planting "seeds of hope amidst big threats for the galaxy".
