Secret Invasion has completely altered the fabric of the Marvel Cinematic Universe by showing that longtime allies, the Skrulls, could be far more devastating as enemies striving for a place in the galaxy. Focusing on Nick Fury, the series follows his return to Earth after The Blip, only to learn that one Skrull, Gravik, has orchestrated a revolution with the hope of making Earth the new Skrull homeworld. To do this, he's employed deception and terrorist tactics, replacing world leaders with Skrull agents and bombing key locations to incite war. But their greatest creation involved evolving their ranks from Skrulls to Super-Skrulls.
