There seems to be a developing interest in the film and television industry for productions that focus on the realities of the culinary world. After all, movies and series like The Bear and The Menu have been making a successful impact by providing plenty of social commentary as entertainment. And Netflix's Hunger is no different. The drama follows suit by using the fine dining industry within Thailand to depict the horrendous income gap between the wealthy elite and the impoverished within the country. However, the movie separates itself from its contemporaries by tackling a more universal problem: gluttony.
