The Prisoner is one of the most beloved sci-fi shows of all time, but it wasn't until 2021 that it finally received some long-overdue action figures. Now there's more good news for fans, as Wandering Planet Toys is back with a second wave of The Prisoner figures.
As with the first wave, Wandering Planet Toys will be crowdfunding The Prisoner: Wave Number 2 on Kickstarter. IGN can exclusively reveal images of the single-carded figures in Wave Number 2. Check them out in the slideshow gallery below:
Whereas the original wave of 4-inch scale figures was focused mainly on different versions of Patrick McGoohan's character, Number 6, Wander Planet Toys is broadening its horizons this time around. Fittingly, Wave Number 2 features several incarnations of the character Number 2, along with figures of Number 50, The Butler and Number 100. But don't worry, Number 6 will also return in several new forms. The new wave consists of both single-carded figures and two-packs, with several bundle options also available.
“Leo McKern as Number 2 was by far the figure our backers most requested that we make next, and we’ve got him,” said Wandering Planet Toys co-founder Chris “Doc” Wyatt in a statement. “We also have The Butler (as portrayed by Angelo Muscat), who was requested almost as frequently as Leo’s Number 2! We also have variations of Number 6, but this is called “Wave Number 2” for a reason. In addition to Leo, we have figures of three other Number 2s ready to interrogate all the kidnapped ex-spies on your toy shelf!”
“The second wave of The Prisoner action figures are developed, approved by our partners at ITV and ready to go into production as soon as our Kickstarter campaign wraps,” said Wandering Planet co-founder Gavin Hignight. “The figures have been sculpted, the packaging has been designed, and we’re ready to start producing the action figures.”
