Nightingale launches in Early Access on February 22, 2024, developer Inflexion Games has announced, via Steam and the Epic Game Store priced $29.99 USD.
This firm release date marks another delay for the Victorian gaslamp fantasy-themed, shared-world survival crafting game. Originally slated for the first half of 2023, Nightingale’s Early Access launch was delayed to this autumn. Now it’s pushed back to early next year.
The developer released a new trailer for its Victorian gaslamp fantasy-themed, shared-world survival crafting game during the gamescom Opening Night Live show. It shows one of Nightingale’s towering Sun Giant, one of the rare apex creatures you can find in the Fae Realms.
In Nightingale you assume the role of a Realmwalker and travel through portals in a procedurally-generated universe. There’s survival-crafting gameplay with quests and an evolving narrative.
Inflexion is made up of a number of ex-Bioware developers, including CEO Aaryn Flynn. "After years of dedicated work from the team, we are thrilled to announce that Nightingale will enter Early Access on February 22, 2024,” Flynn said.
“That date is a few months later than we previously announced. But as a studio, we’re committed to quality, and we take player satisfaction very seriously. We want to ensure that the game delivers on the expectations of our community, who have played a vital role in the development to date. We strive to ensure that Nightingale not only fulfills our vision but also becomes a cherished place for our players to explore and discover with their friends for many years to come.”
Inflexion said it will work with the Nightingale community to improve the game following the Early Access launch, adding new content and giving players the chance to influence development.
