The cast of Dune: Part Two have shared their mixed reactions to the movie's viral sandworm popcorn bucket, with the majority expressing hesitation over sticking their hands in its "mouth."

AMC Theaters' promotional popcorn bucket for Dune: Part Two caused quite a stir when images of the creation surfaced online in January, but now the film's all-star ensemble has weighed in with their hot takes. Some agree that "it's not okay," while others (we're looking at you, Dave Bautista) seem enthusiastic about it.

A video from Entertainment Tonight opens with Zendaya and Florence Pugh labelling the souvenir sandworm as "weird." They also question the practicality of the bucket, suggesting the topper's toothy tentacles would make it difficult to "get anything out of it" and leave "nothing in your hand," not even a kernel.

Josh Brolin jokes that if he sees "a bunch of people in the theater with one of those freaking buckets in their hand," he's going to be like, "Okay, you're an idiot." He further asserts his position (and in all probability speaks for all of us) when he says, "I'm not gonna stick my hand in there, like, I'm good. I'll starve."

Bautista, on the other hand, offered a contrary opinion, saying he felt the "exact opposite" to Brolin. He shared a visual demonstration of how he would heartily reach into the bucket for the popcorn before concluding, along with Timothée Chalamet, Austin Butler, and the rest of the cast, that it's a great talking point.

Dune: Part Two is one of the big movie releases of 2024. The deliciously divisive popcorn buckets will be available starting February 29, one day before the film opens in theaters. The Denis Villeneuve sequel was previously set to be released in November last year but faced delays amid the Hollywood actors' strike.
