Not all villains start as monsters. Some become evil as a result of the positive things in their life turning them sour. Love lost, grief, family ties, and passion are all aspects of life that affect and change people, and some people have a harder time moving on than others. Good-hearted people with love in their lives can become dangerous or cruel if their lives take painful turns and their hearts turn cold as a defense mechanism.
