Battle Quest is a relative newcomer to the comic book publishing scene, and they've been carving out a niche by focusing on science fiction and fantasy rather than traditional superhero stories. That includes Steel Siege, a sci-fi epic with all the mech vs. mech action one could ask for.
With Steel Siege returning for issue #2 on August 16, IGN has the opportunity to debut a brand new story set in the Steel Siege universe. Dubbed Steel Siege: Shadows, this story won't appear in print until the Steel Siege trade paperback hits stores later in 2023. Steel Siege: Shadows is written by Justin Zimmerman and Andrew Kafoury, with art by Russell Brown. The main Steel Siege series is written by Kafoury, with art by Eric Vargas and paints by Silvia Signorini. Here's Battle Quest's official description for the series:
In a war-torn world, the Titan Mechs of House Shorah are on a rampage to annihilate their enemies in the last of the Generator Cities. Steel Siege #1 is available in stores now, and Steel Siege #2 will be released on August 16.
