By the Season 1 finale of Marvel Spotlight's Echo, many big decisions are made regarding the future of Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox). Maya decides to stay in Tamaha, Oklahoma, and embrace her family's heritage. She realizes the traditions and lineage of the Choctaw people have empowered her mentally, as well as physically. Thus, it's time to connect with those mystical roots of her ancestors and continue shifting away from her gangster past to a more heroic one.
