Iron Fist actor Finn Jones wants to bring his hero into the Marvel Cinematic Universe alongside Mike Colter's Luke Cage for a show based on the Heroes for Hire comics.
Speaking to The Nerd Shepard and translated by ComicBook, Jones said at Heroes Dutch Comic Con that he'd be open to returning to the Marvel world despite his show's cancellation in 2018.
"I would like to see the character continue," he said. "I would like to continue playing that character. I think there's still a lot of room for growth and professionally I'm at a point where I would like to continue to grow with Iron Fist."
When asked if he'd like to do a Heroes for Hire show — a comic which sees Iron Fist and Luke Cage team up to offer their services as street level super heroes for a price — Jones gave a definitive yes.
"That would be nice. I would love to see the chemistry between me and Mike again," he said. "It's always been great. I think they're interesting characters to bring together. I think there's a lot of great stories that can be told with those characters. And If they brought me and Mike back to do a Heroes for Hire TV series, I think it would be the right way to go."
While the chances for either show returning are still perhaps quite low, Marvel has offered a glimmered of hope by making its Netflix shows, Iron Fist and Luke Cage alongside Daredevil, Jessica Jones, The Defenders, and The Punisher, MCU canon (and thus adding 161 hours to the cinematic universe).
It's already at work continuing Daredevil in the March 2025 Disney+ series Daredevil: Born Again, though star Charlie Cox has already appeared in the likes of Spider-Man: No Way Home and Echo.
