It's a ridiculous thing to buy a high-end gaming PC and cheap out on a gaming monitor. No matter how powerful your gaming PC might be, your games won't look as good as they can be without a monitor that has the proper features to complement it. Monitors can get quite expensive, but fortunately Amazon Prime Day is one of the best times to score an excellent monitor for the price of a lesser quality one.

Prime Day Deals on Gaming Monitors

We've broken these deals into three sections. The first section lists what we think are the best deals so far. The second section lists out every gaming monitor deal we've found so far for Prime Day. And in the third section we pick out a few of our favorite monitors and explain why.

Our Personal Recommendations

50% Off the New 2023 Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 43" 4K Mini-LED QLED Gaming Monitor, Now Only $499.99

The Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 is a sizeable 43" monitor with a true 4K (3840x2160) resolution. Even though the display is technically smaller than the 49" Samsung Odyssey Neo G9, in my opinion it's far more usable screen real estate. There is only 8% fewer pixels, which means the G7 actually has a higher pixel density which translates to an overall sharper image. Also, the standard 16:9 aspect ratio is far more useful as a general purpose monitor than the 32:9 aspect ratio on the Neo G9's DQHD ultra-wide monitor.

The Neo G7 uses Mini LEDs paired with a quantum dot panel. The quantum dot technology allows for brighter and richer color saturation, and Mini LEDs offer even more precise local dimming than traditional full array LED dimming because the controller zones are smaller and more numerous. The Neo G7 is also HDR600 certified, meaning it can display HDR content with up to 600 nits of peak brightness. These features are great for playing games and streaming multimedia content. The Neo G7 boasts a fast 1ms response time, up to 144Hz refresh rate, and certified AMD FreeSync compatible. Although it's not officially G-SYNC certified, it has been proven to be G-SYNC compatible.

We ranked this as one of our top 4K gaming monitors of 2023, and that was at the $999 price point. At $500, it's an unquestionably great deal for someone who wants a gaming monitor that's a cut above the rest.

42" LG C2 4K OLED Gaming TV for $796.99

The 42" model is LG's smallest OLED TVs, and thus it really shines as a PC gaming monitor. Because the 42" C2 has the same 4K resolution as its larger siblings (and thus, the same number of pixels), it boasts a higher pixer density so images are sharper. The 42" is also small enough to fit most gaming desks. The LG Evo C2 features HDMI 2.1 ports that support 4K @ 120Hz and VRR when connected to a PS5, Xbox Series X, or RTX 40 series gaming PC as well as sub-1ms response times, ALLM, and native G-SYNC compatibility for zero tearing and ghosting. For PC gamers, it also supports 4:4:4 chroma sampling for clear, sharp text. As always, the OLED panel blows away any IPS, VA, or TN monitor in terms of HDR, black levels and color rendition.

The 2022 C2 model has an improved "Evo" OLED panel over the C1. Previously reserved only for the LG G-series OLED TVs, the Evo panel offers higher brightness levels, one of the few areas that traditional LED LCD TVs have OLEDs beat. The newer 2023 C3 TV, on the other hand, has very few upgrades making the price jump worthwhile. That means for someone who wants to make the jump to OLED but wants to maximize value, the Evo C2 is definitely the way to go.

34" Alienware AW3423DWF QD OLED Gaming Monitor for $899.99

No this isn't an Amazon Prime Day deal per se. Instead this is from Dell's Black Friday in July event. The Alienware AW3423DWF is Dell's flagship QD OLED gaming monitor. This 34" monitor sports a 3440x1440 WQHD resolution with a 1ms response time and 165Hz refresh rate. It uses a Samsung quantum dot OLED panel; quantum dot technology produces higher peak brightness levels compared to traditional OLED TVs without losing the color accuracy and range and wide viewing angles that OLEDs are known for. The QD-OLED panel also boasts a 99.3% DCI-P3 color range and is factory calibrated with a Delta E less than 2. It is HDR True Black 400 certified (which, by the way, is a higher rating than even HDR1400) and boasts up to 1,000nits of peak brightness.
