The much-anticipated Frasier sequel series will officially have its two-episode premiere on Paramount+ on October 12, 2023. If that wasn't enough good news, Paramount also revealed a first look at the show and a reveal video that features a new recording of the original's iconic theme song.

Kelsey Grammer will return to his Emmy Award-winning role of Frasier Crane later this year and the first season will consist of 10 episodes. New episodes will drop weekly on Thursdays on Paramount+ in the U.S. in Canada and Fridays internationally.

If you have yet to subscribe to Paramount+, CBS will be broadcasting the first two episodes back-to-back on October 17 at 9:15 ET/PT to give fans new and old a chance to check out this new revival series.

The new series will once again be filmed in front of a live studio audience, and it will follow Frasier Crane in "the next chapter of his life as he returns to Boston with new challenges to face, new relationships to forge and an old dream or two to finally fulfill. Frasier has re-entered the building!"

Joining Grammer will be "Jack Cutmore-Scott as Frasier’s son Freddy; Nicholas Lyndhurst as Frasier’s old college buddy turned university professor Alan; Toks Olagundoye as Olivia, Alan’s colleague and head of the university’s psychology department; Jess Salgueiro as Freddy’s roommate Eve; and Anders Keith as Frasier’s nephew David."

Frasier is being created by writers Chris Harris (How I Met Your Mother) and Joe Cristalli (Life in Pieces). These two will also serve as executive producers alongside Grammer, Tom Russo, and Jordan McMahon. The first two episodes will be directed by 10-time Emmy Award-winning director James Burrows, who is the co-creator of Cheers and also worked on Frasier, Will & Grace, and Dear John.

Fraiser originally aired on NBC from 1993 to 2004 and was a spin-off of the previously mentioned Cheers. Grammer won four Emmys during Frasier's run and he has been eyeing this reboot since as far back as 2018.
