Robin has been an essential character in the Batman mythos since he first debuted in Detective Comics #38 (by Bill Finger, Bob Kane, and Jerry Robinson). Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, Tim Drake, Stephanie Brown, and Damian Wayne have all carried the mantle with various specialties. Each has varying degrees of acrobatic skills, propensities toward violence, detective skills, and impulsiveness.
