Konami's Silent Hill first hit the PlayStation in '99, and it remains a top survival horror series nearly 25 years later. Silent Hill succeeds as a more psychological horror series to its genre's peers, like Resident Evil and Fatal Frame. There are more than a dozen Silent Hill games since the series' debut, with new entries and next-gen remakes on the way after more than a decade of radio silence on the Silent Hill front.
