Mistborn author Brandon Sanderson is working on a deck-building board game due to launch in 2024.
As reported by Dicebreaker, the so far untitled game is created by Call to Adventure and Castles by the Sea developer Brotherwise Games with a "well known designer" at the helm.
It's unclear if this will be an original IP from Sanderson or if it will adapt an existing work, though Brotherwise Games has already published a version of Call to Adventure based on the author's other best-selling fantasy series The Stormlight Archive.
Mistborn would be the most obvious choice for an adaptation, with the series having passed 10 million copies sold, though the author is yet to comment on the new game.
Sanderson isn't afraid to create original stories for games either. Digital tabletop strategy game Moonbreaker's lore was penned by the author, but instead of using his already established material, Sanderson opted to create 10 years' worth of new stories.
Though nothing has been officially announced yet, the author even claimed Elden Ring publisher Bandai Namco was interested in working with him.
