Marvel broke the mold with superheroes in the Silver Age, so it's only fitting they did the same with villains. A key part of this is the philosophy behind each antagonist. While there are plenty of villains who are just criminals or hired muscle, others have created some very interesting systems by which they work. Some of them are quite simple and others are a bit more complex, but either way works to make them unique.
