Flexispot is kicking off Amazon Prime Day with some huge discounts on a wide selection of their electric standing desks. We like Flexispot because they offer quality electric standing desks with all the features you'd want at a fraction of the price compared to other more well-known models. Flexispot also offers a pretty good warranty. Even the least expensive models come with a minimum of a Flexispot c5 year warranty on the frame and motor and a 2 year warranty on just about everything else.

How does the Flexispot compared to other brands?

I can only speak from personal experience. I own a Jarvis Fully, a Vari Ergo, and a Flexispot E5. All three are excellent desks that have caused me no problems whatsoever in the 3+ years of owning them, and that's the point. The Flexispot E5 is considerably less expensive than the other two options, and yet I don't really see where much of that cost is going. For a similar price of a barebones Jarvis Fully, you could get a higher end Flexispot Pro and still come out with more money in your pocket.

What should I look for in a standing desk?

The sheer number of similar looking electric standing desks might overwhelm you. Here are a list of features that you want to look out for.

Desktop size and material

A big part of the cost of the desk is the surface itself. Most inexpensive desks come in 48"x24" or 55"x28" sizes but there are many more options. A solid wood table would obviously cost a lot of money, but you can get away with an MDF table since the base usually includes crossbars that extends parallel to the desktop and prevents sagging. The cheapest tables come with a "split-top" desktop, which is essentially two pieces that you can combine. These are easier to ship (and thus cheaper), but you're also left with an unsightly and impractical seam down the middle of your table.

Single or dual motors

Most inexpensive desks come with a single motor, which is perfectly fine. It just means that they'll accommodate a lighter load and a shorter desktop length. Going beyond the recommended load will definitely stress out the motor and lead to a shorter life. If you need a bigger desktop or you're going to put on some really heavy equipment, the dual motors distribute the load across both motors, thus increasing load limit and longevity.

Controls

The least expensive desks come with a simple up-and-down keypad functionality. I'd recommend getting a desk that includes memory presets so that you don't have to guess your proper height each and every time you adjust it. Some standing desks give you more memory presets, USB charging ports, and more.
