Despite all its connections to past Star Wars stories, Ahsoka told a mostly discrete story about the burdens of guilt and fear. The narrative focus rested most squarely on Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren finding balance and facing their guilt. Yet, the Disney+ series is a part of a much larger narrative that began in animation. While he didn't get much screen time, the Ahsoka finale got Ezra Bridger home by dressing him up like a stormtrooper, a gag frequently used in Star Wars: Rebels.
