These sale prices are also quite good, with the London Skyline set actually just recently dropping to it's lowest price ever on Amazon. This particular set is a great place to start if you're not ready to fully commit to a 1,000+ piece set. At just $25.99 and 468 pieces, you can easily put it together in an afternoon and still have time to disassemble it if you don't like how it looks. The Taj Mahal set, on the other hand, is going to take you a lot longer and is quite a bit larger.
Is Now a Good Time to Buy LEGO Sets?
We've found that the best time to buy LEGO sets is really dependent on whenever they happen to go on sale. Normally, we would suggest waiting for big shopping events like Amazon Prime Day or Black Friday before you make any big purchases, but we've been finding random sales on different sets fairly frequently lately. It was only recently during Labor Day sales that we found some of the best ever prices on LEGO Disney sets and the LEGO botanical collection, so September is turning out to be a surprisingly good time to find discounts.
That being said, many of the upcoming sales events for the rest of the year will most likely be the best time to find deals on a wider breadth of LEGO sets. However, if you want to pick up any of the sets currently on sale, you likely won't find much better prices during those times.
