Star Wars Rebels was the first TV series to explore Star Wars stories outside the Skywalker Saga in Disney's new canon. This animated series followed the adventures of the crew of the Ghost, a small rebel cell active in the formative years of the Rebel Alliance. The Ghost crew became a beloved family of new Star Wars heroes, comprised of pilot Hera Syndulla, former Jedi Padawan Kanan Jarrus, Kanan's apprentice Ezra Bridger, the Mandalorian street artist Sabine Wren, the former captain of the Lasat Honor Guard, Garazeb Orrelios, and the cantankerous astromech droid C1-10P, better known as Chopper.
