In 2008, the MCU was born with the release of Iron Man, and it has culminated into a billion-dollar franchise. Based on the popular Marvel Comics, the MCU has expanded beyond what many expected, giving lesser-known comic book characters a chance to shine on the big screen. In fact, Iron Man himself was a C-List character before the MCU, and he has topped comic book charts ever since. While many MCU fans know of more popular branches of Marvel Comics like The Avengers and X-Men, Marvel Comics has many different sides to it, including adventures in monster hunting. This more obscure side to Marvel eventually had its premiere in October 2022 with the TV special Werewolf By Night.
