The first half of 2023 has been stacked with brilliant game releases and it shows no sign of letting up. August set the bar for big releases and September is continuing that trend. For example, Baldur's Gate 3, which released on PC last month, is also due out on PlayStation 5 on September 6. It's currently tied with The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom on Metacritic for the best game of the year so far.
