Amazon has dropped the price of the Lenovo Legion Go handheld gaming PC to the lowest price we've seen. Right now you can get the 512GB model for $579.99, a $120 price drop from its $700 MSRP. This is a Windows-based gaming handheld PC much like the ASUS ROG Ally. It is similar in specs to the ROG Ally Z1 Extreme model which also retails for $700.

Lenovo Legion Go Handhled Gaming PC for $579.99

The Lenovo Legion Go was released on November 1, 2023. It features an impressive 8.8" 2560x1600 144Hz IPS touchscreen display that's bigger and sharper than the ones found on the Steam Deck or the ROG Ally. Keep in mind though that demanding games (like most AAA titles) will drop down to 1080p or 800p in order to maintain playable framerates and reasonable temps. The Legion Go is driven by an AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor with Radeon graphics and 16GB of RAM, which is the same configuration as the one found in the $700 ASUS ROG Ally Z1 Extreme. It's much more powerful than the Steam Deck.

Unlike the Steam Deck, the Legion Go uses the tried and true Windows 11 OS as its platform. That means it is compatible with any Windows-based game launcher, including Steam, Battle.net, Xbox Games Pass, Epic Games Store, GOG, Ubisoft Connect, and more. Examples include Diablo 4, Fortnite, Genshin Impact, Call of Duty, and Forza Horizon 5, and the list goes on. For those of you who have games on other clients that are unavailable on Steam, this is the way to go.

The Legion Go also has some other unique features, like detachable controllers and a bigger 49Whr battery. On the other hand, because of the bigger screen and battery, the Legion Go is larger and heavier than the ROG Ally or the Steam Deck. The Legion Go is better suited to opportunities when you're in one place but away from your main gaming PC, whereas the ROG Ally or Steam Deck might be better if you're on the move. At this price, it's very competitive with the other options.
