If there is one institution from the modern era that has irreparably altered the course of the Marvel Universe, it is undeniably the Spider-Verse. Although the Multiverse has been part of comic book universe from almost the very beginning, Marvel's Spider-Man centric version of the vast plane is a fairly recent (and well-received) addition to the publisher's overall mythos.
