Ahsoka is continuing the trend of Star Wars TV shows and is expanding on the role of the New Republic in the galaxy. The Mandalorian has made a point in showing the New Republic is almost next to useless. They let Moff Gideon run wild and do whatever he wanted on Mandalore and in the Outer Rim. Even when Carson Teva brought the threat to them, they still failed to take action. Now Ahsoka has built on this theme even more. Hera Syndulla is a hero fo the Rebellion and a person of action. Yet, she is locked in a battle that other Prequel era characters have already fought time and time again.
