Echo's trailer has given an injection of fresh energy into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The trailer is dark, dangerous, and violent, like the MCU has never been before. Echo will also be the first show that is falling under the MCU's new Marvel Spotlight banner. This will allow stories to be more adult focused and story driven. This echos a similar superhero team and comic imprint that was around during the late 1990's, Marvel Knights. By using Marvel Spotlight, the MCU can finally make this team a reality on the screen and bring a new flavor to the wider cinematic universe.
