As part of Microsoft's annual Xbox Games Showcase, Konami shared another look at Metal Gear Solid Δ (pronounced Delta): Snake Eater, showcasing a new look at stealth takedowns and a lot of shooting when stealth is not an option.
Although today's Xbox Games Showcase did not provide fans with a release date for the game signs of a 2024 release window for Metal Gear Solid Delta first surfaced in January after Sony uploaded a YouTube video highlighting a slew of first and third-party games slated to release on PS5 this year.
Konami announced during a May 2023 State of Play showcase that it was planning to remake its 2004 classic. While people were confused that the remake features the Delta symbol instead of the number 3, Konami elaborated that including the Δ symbol in the title was to symbolize the changes being made to the original game released almost 20 years ago, despite several changes intended for the remake, though apparently, Konami is not planning on recording new voice lines for the project.
