The live-action version of Eiichiro Oda's One Piece does many things right as the first truly great live-action anime adaptation, including promoting or demoting certain characters in the narrative. The One Piece franchise has a truly vast cast of characters across 1,000+ episodes and chapters, so by cutting redundant or fluff characters, the story can expand upon fan-favorites like the pink-haired Koby.
