The Disney+ series Ahsoka is the culmination of a journey executive producer Dave Filoni started more than 15 years ago. Working side-by-side with Star Wars creator George Lucas, Filoni expanded the universe with story and character. When Disney purchased Lucasfilm in 2012, Filoni's work in animation kicked off a new era. So, it's not a surprise that Ahsoka is a sequel to the stories in Star Wars: Rebels, but it might frustrate some fans about how slowly it will do it.
