Hajime Isayama's Attack on Titan is certainly not the story for fans who are faint of heart. Across the seasons, it has shifted genres from a zombie-esque kaiju battle story to a political thriller and settled somewhere in between a dark fantasy and a post-apocalyptic character study. Only one thing has remained consistent, and that is the series' dedication to topping itself with increasingly more complicated plot twists.
