One of the biggest questions regarding the DCU before the slate announcement from DC Studios in January 2023 was its plan for Batman. CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran eventually confirmed there will be a Batman in the DCU, and he will be separate from Matt Reeves' version starring Robert Pattinson and have his own film that will also introduce Damian Wayne.
