A rating for an unannounced Far Cry spinoff has appeared online before being deleted.
MP1st surfaced a PEGI rating for a game called Captain Laserhawk Niji Warrior. Captain Laserhawk is the titular character of the Netflix animation Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix, which itself is based on the much-loved Far Cry 3 spinoff Blood Dragon.
Based on the PEGI rating, which is now offline, Captain Laserhawk Niji Warrior is a PC multiplayer player versus player game with laser deathmatches. Player avatars break into pieces when hit, with blood appearing on the ground. There are microtransactions.
That’s all we have for now. Ubisoft has yet to announce Captain Laserhawk Niji Warrior, but IGN has asked for comment.
The leak comes with reports of a Far Cry 7 game swirling online. The last mainline game to release in the open-world first-person shooter series was the Giancarlo Esposito-starring Far Cry 6 in 2021. IGN’s Far Cry 6 review returned an 8/10. We said: “Far Cry 6 smooths over a lot of the bumps that have cropped up in the past few games and even though it misses some steps, especially with its new inventory system, it's the best the series has been in years.”
