The international trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine changes a line of dialogue from Ryan Reynolds' Wade Wilson by swapping out one word to make it more family-friendly for audiences.

The recent Super Bowl LVIII unveiled some of the biggest trailers and commercials of the year, including a preview of Deadpool 3, now titled Deadpool & Wolverine. The footage brought Reynolds' foul-mouthed anti-hero back to our screens for more hilarious hijinks, but one of the jokes proved a little too much, as it didn't make it into the international version of the trailer (at least not in the same way).

X/Twitter account @DiscussingFilm shared a clip of the edited moment from the international trailer, revealing a minor change to arguably one of its funniest lines. In the original, Wade tells a group of Time Stick-wielding TVA agents, "Pegging isn't new for me, friendo, but it is for Disney," giving a knowing look to the camera, whereas in the censored scene, the term "pegging" is replaced by "R-rating."

People seemed to have a lot to say about the edited version, as one person wrote beneath the post: "This version doesn't make any sense," while another commented: "Removed what was unironically the best part of the trailer." A third person agreed: "The pegging line works so much better than the R-rating one."

It probably won't be a talking point for too long, as the trailer left fans with plenty to chew over, including a Secret Wars Easter egg, X-Men cameos, and a possible Doctor Doom appearance. We also got a silhouetted glimpse of Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, who has a complicated relationship with his "best friend" Deadpool.

Deadpool & Wolverine is the only MCU movie in 2024, so it has attracted lots of attention and more than a few spoilers, set leaks, and photos in recent months, but the arrival of the trailer has given fans a first official look at the "raw, audacious, very much R-rated" outing promised when the film hits theaters on July 26.
