Gala Film showed off its upcoming animated series Ghosts of Ruin at New York Comic-Con, both debuting a new trailer and revealing two new comic book spinoffs that dig deeper into the world of this battle royale and VR-inspired series.

Ghosts of Ruin is set in 2065, a time when traditional video games and virtual reality tech have been replaced by "neural reality," allowing gamers to sync their minds and compete in a truly lifelike battle royale environment called Ruin. The series follows a group of gamers competing in a tournament inside Ruin, only for things to grow much more complicated after a rogue program hijacks the simulation.
Ghosts of Ruin features the voices of Tony Revolori and Rosario Dawson. The series is created by PJ Accetturo and Ryan Ramsey and is executive produced by Michael Ramey, Katie Stippec and showrunner Michael Ryan. The series is produced and developed by Battle Island.
