A lot of modern shonen anime have really resonated with audiences, but Kohei Horikoshi's My Hero Academia is a brilliant blend of shonen and superhero storytelling tropes that came around at the perfect time. In 2023, My Hero Academia is nearly a decade old and its anime has accrued 138 episodes across six seasons and the seventh season is already confirmed and on the way in 2024.
