Spider-Boy started off on something of a bad foot with many fans, especially given his premise. The "kid sidekick" of Spider-Man who had apparently been lost to time, Spider-Boy is yet another similar character introduced into Spidey's world. Despite already having stiff competition from Miles Morales and other webslingers, Spider-Boy actually has them beat in one major way.
