If your DualSense controller has succumbed to the dreaded stick drift and you are looking to spend a bit more on a controller so you never have to worry about the issue ever again, gaming peripheral maker Nacon announced a new pro controller designed to work on PlayStation consoles.

The Nacon Revolution 5 Pro controller features Hall Effect technology, meaning the controller uses a magnetic system so that the thumbsticks and triggers are not physically touching other parts inside the controller, which over time would have caused the dreaded stick drift as seen in some of the most popular first-party controllers the PS5 DualSense and the Nintendo Switch Joy-Con controllers.

The Revolution Pro 5, as you can see from the images below, is a "pro" centric controller akin to the DualSense Edge or the Xbox Elite Wireless controller. The rear of the gamepad features four remappable buttons and adjustable triggers, which Nacon calls "Trigger Blockers". Like the DualSense Edge, the Revolution 5 Pro's triggers allow you to adjust the distance required when pressing the trigger.

Nacon touts that a lot of personal flair has been added to the Revolution 5 Pro. Offering three sets of weights, stick sizes, and stick heads, with "no less than" 60 customization options, according to the company's product listing. Customization is done through a dedicated software app available on Windows and macOS. A mobile version for Android and iOS is also in development but will be released sometime next year.

While the Revolution 5 Pro is designed with the PS5 in mind, Nacon's website notes that the controller is also compatible with PS4 and PC; it certainly adds a lot more versatility to the controller as it is a little costly, retailing for €229.90 (about $245), making it more expensive than the DualSense Edge. But when you factor in that it includes a carrying case, a USB-C cable, and Hall Effect technology (something the DualSense Edge's joystick tech is prone to drifting despite the option to replace it for $20), the features it offers could outweigh the more costly price.

The Nacon Revolution 5 Pro will begin shipping in October. You can preorder it now on Nacon's website, and it is available in Black and White.
