With DC Comics' editorial changing hands a few years back, most of its plans for 5G fell through. Geoff Johns, who was once the architect of the JSA mythos, charted a new course for the Golden Age superheroes through the ruins of 5G with his precursor one-shot The New Golden Age and its resulting limited series, Justice Society of America. Written by Johns with artwork from Mikel Janín, Jerry Ordway, Jordie Bellaire, and John Kalisz with letters from Rob Leigh, Justice Society of America: Gold #1 collects the first three issues of that series, which centers around Helena Wayne -- daughter of Batman and Catwoman -- and her journey through time to save her JSA teammates as the past, present and future collide.
